Good solid food and fair prices! Fast and friendly service. I love their oxtails and my daughter loves their beef stew. Their pollo aka brasa is excellent!

Extremely flavorful, cheap, and huge portions. I recently went w/ my lunch crew (2 of which are hispanic)...I am not. We all ordered something different and were all impressed and instantly was added into our regular rotation. I had the ribs, spanish rice, and plantains which contained 3 HUGE ribs. Quite amazing. It's kind of "cafeteria" style where you walk in and see what they have freshly available from behind a counter and choose what you want. They also have a full menu in case you don't want what they have already cooked. Check it out!

I liked everything about this place. It's my kind of hole in the wall joint. And don't miss the little Filipino grocery store and food counter next door.. This is the real stuff!!! None of that fancy SoTa high falutin fancy schmaltz. This is home cooking. Family style. By your Cuban / Puerto Rican / Spanish uncle. Pedro. Actually, I didn't catch his name. But he's still your uncle. They serve up rotisserie chicken, mofongo, two soups (beef or chicken), dishes of beef, pork, steak and chicken, seafood dishes with shrimp, fish, and conch salad, patties, fried goodies, sandwiches, a few salads, rice and bean sides, and flans. As well as tres leches. And cheesecake. :)

As puertorrican, let me first suggest you to ignore the bad reviews!! It's clear they know nothing about Caribbean cuisine. Spanish food it's from Spain!! This family owned place serves Caribbean food, not Spanish, specifically traditional Cuban and Puertorrican plates. Seems they don't open on Sundays, which could be inconvenient for some people as one of the reviews said. But let's remember it's a family owned Restaurant, which it's understandable they take one day off. After all, they have same rights as Chick-Fil-A, and nobody complaints about them being closed on Sundays. The owner, who was serving the food, was very nice and gave us samples to help us decide. Few seconds after he talked to us, I noticed his strange Spanish accent. To my surprise he told me he and his family are all Palestinian but lived several yrs in Puerto Rico, where they learned our language. It was here in the U.S. that he learned to cook what he called it "my food". The most interesting thing about this little place is that the food was FANTASTIC and even better than most Caribbean restaurants (owned by Puertorricans) I've visited! It does taste like Puerto Rico! You can see the sofrito and little pieces of potatoes in the beans, the chicken stew was even better than my mom's! My fiancé ordered Mofongo, which I had to try as well, and oh boy!!!! The rotisserie chicken she ordered reminded us of those made on charcoal (carbón) at Piñones, Loiza (some of you will understand). My daughter devoured her Cuban sandwich too! Pricing was just perfect for the quality in taste and portions we had! This is def our first of many visits we plan to do at this restaurant to try their other plates! This long review simply cannot justify how good the food is here!

Really good food. If you want tres leches you better call in advance. It's a cafeteria and the ambiance is basic.

This place use to have good Spanish food, but must be new owners because the food doesn't have any Spanish flavor at all. Not any of the food, the food looks Spanish style but thats about it. If you want good Spanish tasting food, this is not the place.

This place feels like Puerto Rico!! I go there to order my huge overly portioned plate of food with aguacate on the side.

Never had a chance to try their food since they were closed even though they were supposed to be open. In town for a conference and since the reviews were great decided to get a shot. Drove quite a distance. Therefore call before visiting.

I have always loved the food at this place. The owner and his wife are always friendly and helpful. My favorites are the shredded steak, shredded pork or cubans (which come with actual shredded pork).

Good cafeteria style Caribbean food on the cheap. The kind my old lady used to make for me back when i was a young lad. Probably the reason why i was a fat young lad. When i walked in the owner was very accommodating going over all the options and the price points. I wanted a couple things and he hooked it up by giving me a half portion of each without charging me extra. Good selection of Hispanic soda's here as well, which is something I haven't seen in too many places since I left Miami. If you work nearby or happen to be in the area for lunch I definitely recommend you check it out. Make sure you get a Materva, or Iron Beer soda with your meal. Cause when in Rome you must do as the Romans do. Side Note: Hispanic Soda's like these go great with Rum, so you might want to buy a couple extra ones for the weekend. When you start doing the gangster lean you'll thank me
